Groceries and entertainment are slightly more expensive as well, coming out to around $400 and $200 respectively for one person a month in Toronto versus only being about $250 and $150 respectively in Halifax. Communication such as phone and internet is cheaper in Toronto at around $100 a month compared to the estimated monthly cost of $150 a month for Halifax customers. And finally health and fitness memberships range between 8-100$/month depending on your preference while it is only 50-100$/month in Halifax. All this comes with the 13% sales tax rate that applies in Toronto instead of the 15% that applies within the city limits of Halifax.

Benefits of Moving to Toronto

Meanwhile, Toronto also boasts an energetic nightlife that gives it an edge over its Maritime counterpart. Furthermore, Toronto provides a level of diversity not found anywhere else in the country – something you won’t find in Halifax either! Nancy Wolfe
We had a lot of delicate furniture to move from a large house to an apartment. The guys wrapped up everything in blankets in cellophane and even were kind enough to move two sofas into our next door neighbor's house. Very highly recommended.
The Hercules moving team conducted themselves in a very professional manner. Upon their arrival they were quick to introduce themselves. My piano was carefully wrapped before moving it. Once at its destination the moving team decided on the best way to move my piano into its new home. They laid mats along their route to protect my flooring. They had to move some furniture out of their way. Throughout the entire process of moving the piano they were very careful with the piano and my home. They recommended putting some coasters (which they had on hand) under the wheels of the piano to protect my flooring before taking it off of their mats. After unwrapping and disposing of all of the wrap they made sure I was happy with the placement of the piano before considering their job complete. Even took the time to move back all of the items they moved out of their way, no matter how small. Overall I was very happy with my experience with Hercules Moving Company. I highly recommend them.
I want to express my sincere gratitude for the organization of the relocation of our office in Ottawa. Hercules office movers were very polite, neat and responsible. Packing, loading and unloading were logically adjusted, so I could relax and completely trust the process. Special thanks for the ease of communication: I was nervous, and there were problems with the concierge and the use of freight elevators, but these guys saved my day and behaved tactfully as real professionals. I can recommend this company to anyone who cares about quality of office relocation.
Pranas, Simas, and Remyga did a great job. They were professional, very polite, and strategic. They were very well equipped and well trained. They made the piano moving process quick, stress free, and completed the task very smoothly. Thank you!
This company to put it simply was AMAZING! The initial call to Hercules went extremely well from that moment I knew this was the company I would use. Walter who made the booking was efficient and quick in meeting all my needs. The day of the move the team worked very well wrapping all of my furniture securely preventing any damage. The workers and entire staff were friendly very fast and clearly enjoy there job. I will definitely recommend Hercules moving company to all my friends and family for there moving needs. Special thank you to Vidas and his team of workers! Great job guys!

I had to move my entire food operation in a day. With Edmonton movers quoted me quickly and showed up on site 2 days later ready to move. I was worried about all my expensive and sensitive machinery but they pulled it off safely and without issue. Very reasonably priced and highly recommended. Great company.
This is a very heavy old piano. Came out of a house in Oakville and was delivered to my house in Toronto. These guys did a great job, went above and beyond to make sure there was no damage to the piano or either of the houses. I was not looking forward to this day, however hiring these professionals made this a great experience! I live in a townhouse with an awkward entrance and tight hallways and these guys ensured they didn't damage anything! From what I saw today, I will definitely recommend these experts to move anything and everything for anyone.A+++++

Great service, they took great care of all my parents belongings. and were very courteous. They certainly eased the move with the assembly and dis assembly of the furniture. The condo commented as well that we had great Toronto movers! Competitively priced, you get what you pay for!
A++++++++. Hercules Moving is the only company I would ever hire for small moves if I had to move again. The crew was amazingly fast, professional, and very careful with our stuff. They wrapped all the furniture with pads and plastic wrap making it very difficult to scratch. Not only to mention the excellent customer service they provided all along. Hercules is simply the best!
We were so impressed with the way these gentlemen delivered our piano that we have been talking about it for days now. They were very professional and efficient and knew exactly what they were doing, from the moment they took the piano off the moving truck right up until they put the piano together. Not only were they amazing at what they do, they were polite and courteous and very accommodating when it came to figuring out the exact placement of our newest addition to our home. We will absolutely hire them to help us move when/if we decide to as we know we can trust them to handle our possessions with the utmost respect.
The Hercules moving team provided solid service. The quote process was timely and seamless, which was appreciated. On the day of the move, the team showed up on time and did a great job. They were professional but approachable too.

They showed up on time and worked ultra quick. We had a lot of sensitive equipment and they took extra care to ensure it was all moved safely. I highly recommend them for any commercial move.
Excellent service! All individuals I dealt with went above and beyond, including rearranging their schedule to accommodate the move. The team moving were so quick, clean and extremely careful to ensure no damage occurred to anything. Would recommend Hercules Moving in a heartbeat.
